Frank Bowling originally from Guyana, is widely considered as one of the most distinguished artists to emerge from post-war British art schools. He belongs to the famous class of 1962 at the Royal College of Art, and was inducted into the Royal Academy in 2005.

Ed Clark is an abstract expressionist painter famous for his powerful brush stroke, large canvases, and use of vibrant color. His process consists of pouring paint onto a canvas and guiding the wet paint with anything from a push-broom to his bare hands.

Johnny Coleman is a sculptor/installation artist and Associate Professor of Art and African American Studies.  He is from Southern California, and received his BFA from the Otis Art Institute of the Parsons School of Design, and his MFA from the University of California at San Diego.

Robert Colescott , known for his parodies of iconic paintings that he admired at the Louvre in the 1970's.These works incorporated images from popular culture and ironic homage's to historic masterpieces.Throughout his career, Colescott's paintings continued to be full of satire, presenting the social ills of race, sex, and western culture in humorous, yet thought-provoking ways.

Richard Hunt is famous for his abstract works, suggesting recognizable human and natural forms. Richard Hunt works with metals and welding structures in his Chicago studio. Throughout the years, he has received Guggenheim, Ford, and Tamarind fellowships, awards from the Art Institute of Chicago, and Logan, Palmer, and Compana prizes. Hunt holds eight honorary degrees, and his work is represented in major museums and collections internationally.

Jacob Lawrence  possessed a consciousness of history that is generally not included in textbooks. Jacob Lawrence was a student of life and made exposing the reality of black history though art his life long pursuit. After a long period of research and study research, Jacob Lawrence began his first series documenting African history. This effort became known as the establishment of the first black Western republic through the efforts of military leader Toussaint L'Ouverture.

Allie McGhee is known for his large expressive paintings in which he often combines colors inspired by nature with symbolic forms and shapes to convey ideas about harmony in the universe. He continues his exploration of science and spirituality in his latest works, drawing parallels between the two.

Vicente Pimentel was born in Santo Domingo in 1947. He trained art at L'Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Santo Domingo and at Ecole d'Art et Architecture in France. Currently he lives and works in Paris.
